Option to select no of working hours for any day of the week
Need to improve on working hour property. Our company practices flexible working hours. The working hour ranging from 4 hour/day to 8 hour/day. Instead of flat 8 hours per working day, the working hour property should be flexible to adapt company policy. Another example, Saturday is a working day and the working hour is from 9.00am to 1.00pm. The system should allow user to set working hour as per Saturday.

Add a test format feature for the job scheduler section.
I would like to bold or increase the font for certain word or topics in my communications to the user base. The application does not provide this option today.

A search field above the active directory and employee assignment screen would be ideal.
My employee list is growing rapidly and scrolling will become too cumbersome in the near future. A name search field would be better.

Move Submit Button for Time Entry to the Right Side of Screen
It would be very helpful to change the design on the timesheet and move the "submit" button to the right hand side of the screen where the time is entered. Many employees are forgetting to click submit and the time is lost after a lockout period. I have started running "unsummitted time" reports which helps but I believe the # hitting the report would reduce greatly if the submit button was moved.

When creating a custom report, allow the use of custom parameters in crystal reports.
I would like the ability to create custom parameters in our custom reports. Currently we are limited to the parameters outlined here http://www.dovico.com/developer_custom_terminology.aspx.

We are working on the reporting aspect to provide additional flexibility and functionality. Which I believe may address your suggestion. This is scheduled for the next release. I will update this status as soon as we have released.

Assigning a different color to each study listed on the menu. E-Z way to reduce entering data in the wrong study.
So much of the time I write in my time - only to find I've assigned it to the wrong study. Rather than having all studies look the same, color coding studies would reduce errors.

Budgeted totals to include budgeted expenses, not just time
Include budgeted expenses in the Budgeted Time and Costs amount total. It would be helpful to see a similar break down of estimated/actual on the same sheet as the time/task breakdown. Also a filter in the reports to list expenses just by project, not by the employees who entered it.

Provide a total for hours on the invoice along with the dollar amounts.
On the invoice, it would be really helpful to also include a subtotal for the hours along with the dollars.

Have tasks belong to projects (or allow them to be global)
In quick assign tasks are relevant to only certain project codes. When I pick a project I should only see the relvant tasks.
eg our projects are often classes of work eg Support - therefore I only want to be able to pick Support tasks1 vote -
The ability to set a default expense markup % for billable expense by Project.
We would like the ability to setup default expense markup % by Project for billable expenses. This way we could set the markup % for each project and hide the column in the expense entry form. Each user shouldn't have to know the markup % for each project as it can vary from project to project.

Reports explorer
Allow the window to be maximized (WHAT is the point of the tiny little window), add a search feature, add a filtering feature by status. Add the option to sort the projects alphabetically rather than by client first. We currently have over 4000 projects in Dovico (we will add about 1900 each year) and currently pulling a single report by project is a nightmare!

Feb 16 2012 – Discussed window re-sizing concerns with R&D Team lead and I was advised they are adding functionality to report criteria selection that will help you.

Automatically assign employees to job scheduler reports, which have a selection criteria on Custom Fields
We have existing job schedule reports, which use custom fields as part of the selection criteria.
When you select a report on an employee custom field and schedule the report, if a new employee is added to the custom field the new employee will not be included on the report. You have to go into the scheduled report job and reselect the custom field again to include the new employee.

Add tool_tip on mouse over of dropdown list row, which displays full text .
Under Menu>Views(tab)>Time & Expences>Actual Time & Costs; There are dropdown list for Project, Task and Employee filtering.
However these dropdown lists only display the first 21 characters and most of the time (for Projects / Tasks) are un-usable to find a unique item.My suggestion is the add a tool tip window displayed on mouse_over for a list item, which displays the full text.
It would also be great if the currect selection is concatenate together in the top margin. Similar to that avaiable in the Time Calendar when reviewing an employee's single day time sheet.

Automatically assign employees to newly added tasks of a task group
Automatically assign employees to newly added tasks of a task group. Currently you can only update a task group in all projects with a new task if you select the MORE button on the form where you generate a new task. It would be very helpful if there would be another option which would assign for each project also the employees of a task group automatically to each newly added task. This would save a lot of time in case there is a need for adding new tasks.

Improving billing process
How to improve the billing concept increasingly:
1. Make a selection of the projects including the option ALL projects
2. Make a selection of the billing period (from - to)
3. The result is a list of ALL projects and a drill down list of ALL billable hours (detailed like now)
4. All the hours are checked on, so you only need to uncheck the special ones
5. Export to report/ DatawarehouseI think this works must easier than the other way around
