project level - for example attach the PID.

Project Planning View related improvements
Hi Guys,
another one for you, here's some improvements which relate to Project Planning view:
project planning view - line/column head to show current date (change the header to red for example)
more right click options in project planning, eg insert, delete etc.
scroll wheel works in project planning
screen for scrolling up/down the list
project planning zoom function rezsizes fonts as it zooms out/inproject planning linked entries should also allow for start date (cannot start until x has completed, but date aftyer that OK)

Task related inprovements
hi guys, been using the software for a week or so, and I'd like to suggest a few improvements to the tasks systems in the Project Planning and Employees and Projects sections.
here's some info:
Task Groups show members - the tasks for me work the wrong way round. if we look at re-usability of tasks, the tasks should be able to be assigned to task groups (as many as you like) and this should be done through the task group, not the group.
Task completed check box, in time sheet and project planning/overview.

Bulk Time Move for projects created in the Project Planning tool
Bulk Time Move is currently only available for project that were generated within Timesheet, but not for those created in the Project Planning tool.
However, it would be rather useful to offer this functionality for the latter as well.4 votes -
Using "Task" as a filter in reporting
Task is the basis on which all time entries are made so I was quite surprised when in Planning and Timesheet the ability ot use this field as a filter for reports was no longer possible. I see it as fundamental to all timesheet reporting and would like to see the ability to select specific task in reports restored.

We have investigated this issue. Tasks don’t show in the reporting parameters as the projects that are created with DOVICO Planning and Timesheet are treated the same way as if they were a project created by Microsoft Project. Since Microsoft Project and our DOVICO Planning and Timesheet allow the names of tasks to be the same it makes the selection list less usable. This being said, I have had discussions with the product manager and he mentioned that he would like to remedy this. However due to the architecture, this item is a large project to fix. So unfortunately although we are aware of this issue, we do not have a date as to when this will be corrected.

Mobile app charge code timer
There needs to be a function where a user can start and stop billing against a charge code for mobile devices.
Look at HoursTracker on the iPhone does it. VERY EASY to enter and track time. You get to the client you "start the clock" -- you leave the client and you "stop the clock." No having to think about how much time you worked.
It just happens automagically.

Show Projects that are behind schedule
Ability to see all projects that are behind schedule in one view. Have to go into each project one at a time in to the progress view to get this info. (i.e. Have a report where projected finish date greater then scheduled finish date.)

Entering estimates without tasks
Put estimates in that vary from week to week without entering new tasks. Our projects have definite peaks and valleys so one project may need 25 hours of a resource on one week and only 5 hours another week. Due to the type of work and turnaround needed for certain tasks this cannot be addressed through better planning, etc. There are true peaks.

Fixed Budget, Start and End dates
I deal with Government contracts where a limitation of expenditure is specified. Your project scheduling scheme should allow for a fixed budget to be specified for a project (with fixed start and end dates) and allow to adjust the time allocation of at least one resource for the total budget to remain fixed.

Resource utilization consider actual time submitted
It would be useful that the "resource utilization" tab could consider the "actual" time submitted under the tasks for the previous periods and adjust the remaining allocation accordingly. One now has to adjust the task "start" date in order to adjust the allocation for the remaining periods.

Remember windows sizing
One small enhancement would be to have the windows in the approval workspace not resize after approving an employee's time entry. I would like to resize the windows and have them stay that size.

Comparison report for week/week
I would like to look at actual compared to forecast for several weeks ... ~1 month.

Report for utilization
I want to look at forecasts in a report form (or gantt chart in an export) so I can see where people are at or below peaks for several weeks out. I need to understand if someone is at 150%, 75%, etc. for any given week. I can see in the gantt chart, but have not seen an export

Show assigned manager next to project
Show the name of the assigned manager of a project next to where the Project Name currently is shown at the top of the Project Scheduling Tab.
