  1. TIP: Adding a logo to your report

This week I was able to show a client a very simple feature we have in the software to brand your reports with your logo.

In the Company Profile tab in Company Setup, you will find a Company Logo field where you can upload your logo to be placed on the top left or right of your reports.

Your logo will be placed on all reports available out of the box, as well as any ad-hoc reports you build.

  2. TIP: See which employees are not entering their time

One of the questions I get asked most often is how can see which employees are not entering their time.

The Job Scheduler allows you to set up automatic email notifications to employees for reminders that they have not completed their timesheet.

Email Notifications for Employees that have not entered their time:

For managers to be notified by email which employees are not entering their time:

Using the Job Scheduler notification will reduce the number of follow up manual emails required to have your employees comply with your time tracking business requirements.

Finally, the “Employee Time Summary” report…

  3. TIP: Import Time from Excel

This week I had an existing client roll out to another division of their company. This division had been keeping track of their time in excel. We were able to import all of their time entries from the beginning of the year so they now have accurate reporting for the entire year in one place in Dovico.

If you are looking at using Dovico for time tracking, or are an existing client that has time entered in excel speak to us about importing time entries to get all your data in one place.

  4. TIP: Unique Payroll ID

This week I had a client that is using Dovico to gather hours for their payroll. Each employee has a unique payroll ID that the client wanted to store in Dovico. I went through how to easily add a custom field to the employee view which they now use to store the payroll ID’s for each employee. I helped them update their report that they are using for payroll to include this new payroll field. A very simple solution to implement that has made it easier for them to integrate with their payroll system.

  5. TIP: Time Entry and Compliancy Report

Interested in knowing when an employee entered their time entry for compliance reasons? We added new fields to the software that allow you to now report on when the employee entered their time. If you are interested in getting this information from the solution contact your account rep and they will help you with this new reporting functionality.

  6. TIP: Reporting with custom fields (department + job role)

This week I had a client that was interested in reporting on both the department that their employees worked for, as well as the job role they had.

The client was already using the employee group field as their department and didn’t know what to do about the job role. I went through how to easily add a custom field to the employee view which they now use to store the job role, with a few simple clicks we added the job role to their existing reports. Custom fields are a great way to store more information than we have provided…
